Many people are surprised to learn that part of manifesting their desires is giving without expectation of any return.

Now, giving without necessarily expecting to get anything in return is a deep part of personal spiritual growth, and when we grow spiritually we become more and more able to realize our own desires. But still you might have a question about this seeming paradox: if I give without necessarily expecting to be “gratified” or “rewarded” by another for my action, how can that be an action that furthers my own spiritual unfolding, and actually helps me attract all that I want into my life?

In our usual everyday world of buying and selling, getting and spending, we expect that when we do something right, it will lead to use getting something good for ourselves, and usually fairly soon if not immediately. If we give somebody our money, we get a product or service. If we give someone of our time, energy, and expertise, we get money. If we give of ourselves to do well within our company, we get a promotion. Even very simple things count: if we give a “thank you”, we expect to get a “you’re welcome” or at least a friendly smile.

There is truly nothing wrong with these exchanges. However, we are too much with them. We don’t see where those activities have their beginning and their end. We begin carrying those attitudes and expectations over into everything in our lives.

The attitude and practice of giving without expecting necessarily to get anything back is not, it needs to be pointed out, some kind of self-sacrifice. This is not a Kamikaze type practice; this is not becoming a monk who lives only for altruism and the suppression of all selfish desires. What it means is, there are some things that are so good to do, that they should be done just for their goodness, for their own sake, or even just for the fact that they give you intense feelings of having done “something right” in and of themselves.

One of the very best summations of this spiritual attitude can be found in the words of the late novelist Willa Cather: “Writing ought either to be the manufacture of stories for which there is a market demand…or it should be an art, which is always a search for something for which there is no market demand, something new and untried, where the values are intrinsic and have nothing to do with standardized values.”

When Cather speaks of writing in that second way, she is speaking of giving without necessarily getting something in return. She speaks of creating something for the sake of a state of mind “where the values are intrinsic and have nothing to do with standardized values.” Where there is no market demand. Something new and untried. But just think of what you do get in return: a higher state of awareness; the pride that you have given something of powerful, lasting, unaging value to the world; and, you have made the world in which you live a better place, which can only benefit you even if indirectly and not in any immediate sense.

Did you know that one of the money making secrets of the very rich is tithing? They give away at least 10% of their money every year to charity or philanthropy. They consider this part of what makes THEM wealthier. If you send out love, it returns to you in time – often in strange and mysterious ways. And that’s another reason why giving without expecting anything in return works to manifest you dreams: it allows you to receive benefits in ways or from places that you couldn’t imagine before. Your “expectations” got in the way!

The very life and soul to create the world you want for yourself rest in the power of the thought and the word, It isn’t anything new. It has been around for thousand of years. Hermes spoke about it in The Kybalion and in the letters he left for his children.

Thoughts are electrical impulses that generate energy. A dark thought is heavy, slow and many times hard to control once its intent is focused on a given target or linked to a purpose. It attracts the same kind and reinforces the previous thoughts making it harder and harder to control.

The word or words spoken stimulated by thoughts have the power of manifesting what they were intended to. The stronger the intent, the sooner a manifestation materializes. Consistency and flow determine how soon.

On the other hand, a positive, bright thought is light, very fast and needs to be properly channeled in order to control it for a specific purpose or intent, but the materialization undergoes the very same process than with a dark thought.

Do you know what the difference is? The difference is the effect caused by the process set in motion. Obviously, both are hard to control and that is the reason why the control process must be slow, consistent and fluent.

It is easier for people to abandon themselves to a depressing feeling, but in doing so they generate more energetic weight thus making it harder to let go. That´s why fighting back is a titanic task once negativity sets in. Am I making myself clear?

Let me illustrate it for you: Suppose you have worked hard to achieve a goal, but for some reason, things slow down and you must wait.

Your first reaction is to complain, your mind begins to wander, out of complaining you utter swear words, then you get irritated; you comment the situation with a friend and most likely than not, your friend will reinforce your frustration. Am I right so far?

It becomes a vicious circle and the goal begins to slip away between your fingers. Does it ring a bell? Yes, I know, been there, done that! It took a lot of pain to get it through my head, but I finally did it. So, I am trying to spare you that pain.

“The individual who is capable of maintaining a fixed mental picture in his imagination without allowing it to be erased by other thoughts, will achieve marvels, as mind is matter and matter is mind ; that is, energy and matter are different manifestations of mind” John Baines- The Secret Science

Now, remember that your mind is a channel of theUniversal Mind; that is, God’s Mind. It means that the energy you are tapping into is the most powerful energy in the universe. Do you understand the far reaching effect of this?

Most people do not realize this fact, even worse, they do not believe in it. What you believe in is what becomes true for you. You have the magic wand, you are the magician, the wizard; however, if you do not believe in your power, which is God’s Power, no magick is possible.

When the word is uttered, it has already been energized by the thought and intent has been set into motion. For this reason, speaking without thinking is so dangerous. You generate energy that hasn´t been qualified and it will increase its power as it finds similar vibrations in the field.

I wish you understood how critical this is. It can work both ways, the choice is yours, but to be able to control your energy yourattentionmust be focused. There are many ways to train you to develop focused attention. Below you will find a video to help you work it out.

The quality of your power will depend upon your faith in such power. When a human being begins to glorify himself/herself, claiming to be the source of power, everything goes awry. That is the reason why true magicians, wizards, masters, are humble, silent and never ostentatious.

You must understand that you are a channel. The Power belongs to God, and because, a spark of God dwells within you, it is possible to channel such power. Here your attitude is paramount. Be humble, recognize inwardly that you are a channel and do not glorify yourself.

Here you find one of the most capital reasons for failure using the Law of Attraction: Spoken words do not match the intent. You must let the power flow by releasing it to The Source. It is then, and only then that true power flows freely, and you become burden free to focus on maintaining the right attitude.

Do not be deceived; only resistance causes suffering and failure. When you let go, the Divine Intelligence within you will bring forth manifestation in a selfless way, thus benefiting everyone involved.

If you try to control the outcome as your human mind sees it, someone will not receive benefit, and for logical consequence, you create a void that will be filled by your own rewards, as the “boomerang” law returns to strip you from them. Your selfish approach created instant karma and your dues are collected from your own benefits because you are the ill-creator.

You see? That is the consequence of ill-gotten benefits, assets or goods. You need to think in terms of sharing, in terms of community. Abundance is everybody’s God given right, you cannot monopolize it. If you do, the results are an inevitable loss of what you got in the first place.

Cogitate, meditate, and delve in it deeply. Do not take this advice lightly, take heed of the signs, you’ll be ever grateful you did.

You can blame your environment. You can even blame yourself.

What you shouldn’t do is put the blame on anyone and should just let go.

How can you do this? Just remember that you always have a choice.

It sounds simple, but this short piece of advice is more helpful than anything you can know in life, I believe.

It’s undeniable that your environment and ancestry will affect your life and circumstances. However, you have the power to decide how it will affect you and to what extent.

You can change your life if you want to. You just have to make sure that you’re ready to change. You have to want it, be willing to try something different and give up things that you’ve been accustomed to for a long time. You can analyze your dreams to discover things about yourself you never before noticed to help in your decision.

Be willing to take a look at your life and decide if you are happy with your life and the way it is headed. Determine what you like and dislike about yourself and your life. What are the consequences of the action you plan to take? Will your life last long the way it is going?

One thing you can change is your perspective. Be willing to take on different beliefs and consider other spiritualities.

Choose to relax. Find things about yourself that you’re happy with and don’t let anyone tell you that’s not okay. Find your own definition of love. Take a look at how recreation and work fit into your life and decide if you’re fine with the roles they play. Do you want to be more productive or do you want to rid stress from your life?

Don’t be afraid to deal with your fears. Be willing to establish trust with people you might not have considered doing so with before. Be direct with yourself and others. Listen to others and your own feelings. Keep a journal to keep track of your goals and thoughts. And avoid self-fulfilling prophecies; don’t set yourself up to fail.

Make sure your life has meaning in it; choose a goal and stick with it. Many people get pleasure from helping others.

It’s time to take your life out of the hands of others and into your own. Take responsibility for your future and you might find yourself happy with the result. The more control your take of your life, the less it is at the will of others. Take pleasure in your strength and power.

There is a deep longing in every human being to be loved.

There is a deep longing in every human being to be loved and to love. However, there is an immediate problem. It is one that stems from fear- which is simply our subconscious interpretation of an absence. It comes in the form of non-verbal and deep-seated questioning, brought about because so often we don’t perceive ourselves as being loved and even less as being loving. From our earliest moments we don’t always immediately receive the attentive care we feel we need. We’re hungry or cold, or have a wet nappy which is causing us discomfort, and Mummy isn’t fixing it. She doesn’t immediately respond to our desire for relief and there comes to us fear – which immediately turns to anger. (anger, and any negative emotion always stems from a base of fear) Mummy doesn’t love us! This doesn’t come to us in words, of course, but as a feeling, a feeling which lodges and never entirely leaves. Welcome to Planet Earth, a Realm of Relativity; a realm which we experience as a spectrum ranging form total, unconditional love to its almost complete absence.

We quickly become aware that not everyone out there loves us.

Later, we may be teased or bullied by siblings. We quickly become aware that not everyone ‘out there’ gives us love. Not everybody is caring. Maybe we don’t deserve it? Certainly they don’t give us love all of the time. Sometimes none of the time. And from the feedback we’re given we quickly gather an opinion of our own selves: we are not worthy. This, of course, is not registered and evaluated by an adult mind, but as emotional content bereft of actual words. It is more of a feeling. And that feeling is registered. Such a feeling can form the basis of a ‘house built on sand’ as far as our identity is concerned.

We develop a conglomerate of ideas as to as to what we are.

This is identity-feeling is glossed over as we develop an ego, a conglomerate of ideas as to what we are and what we are not. The ideas are always superficial and come from a comparison of the disparities which manifest in this Universe of Relativities. “I am small: he is big.” I am not as worldly-wise as he or she. She has a position of power that I don’t have. Maybe if I behave in a particular way I will gain her attention and she will love me.” Before you know it, the mind’s chatter is believed by its owner to be the owner!

We develop our self-image early. But we forget it is only an image… something imagined.

Very early in our lives we develop this self-image, some of itscontents of which we are fairly aware: but most of which we are unconscious. The unconscious part is the part which continually rears up and gives us trouble, and will continue to give us trouble all of our lives unless we begin to understand it and set about to systematically change it so that it behaves more favorably. However, one needs to be introduced to this concept and exposed to it as an experience, though, before those changes really start to take place. Intellectual arguments might act as a temporary balm in times when there is little stress in our lives. It does not work in the long term.

Our self image and our imaginings about it determine the parameters of our lives.

The unconscious self-image is that image we have of ourselves which generally limits us. It determines the parameters. This self-image is made up of the myriad thought-forms which have formed into a dense polyglot of patterns that are always providing us with feedback in the form of performances and abilities. These are woven in in the first place by our imaginings, our mind talk, our continual reactions and affirming of what we are, what we can do, what we are like, etc.. For example: On the positive side: “Yes, I’ve always been able to draw well,” “Our family have great genes,” “Been confident and outgoing all my life.” Or, on the negative side: “I’ve never been musical,” or “mechanical able,” or “good at math.” Or the more dangerous ones such as “I always seem to be having accidents – I think I’m accident prone.” “No matter what I do, things never work out for me.”

Watch what you are feeding the big, impersonal machine.

What is not known to the possessor of his or her subconscious mind is that we are continually feeding a big, impersonal, robotic-like machine that takes in everything that is fed to it and accepts it without question. It really is a case of sowing a seed. The ground doesn’t judge the seed, it just enables it to grow. The subconscious says, “Yes” to every imagining, every self put-down and, yes, every positive affirmation. Sometimes the Yes is hardly a murmur. Sometimes, if the message put to it is planted with real passion, it says, Yes! Yes! Yes! in a very loud voice. A voice we do not hear, of course. In the Buddhist parlance, such a “Yes” becomes a deeply-rooted Sankhara, something which can affect us from hereon; influence our decision-making, evoke emotional responses, cause us pain and suffering – even bring about physical illness.

What causes the flight-or-fight syndrome: fear, real or imagined.

There is a lot of talk today about the ‘Fight or Flight Syndrome and how, when this is raised more on less permanently above where it should normally be, the continuous flow of adrenalin will eventually cause us all manner of problems, which will quite likely result in a stress-related illness. But what causes the Flight or Fight? Fear, of course, real or imagined. With the subconscious mind not being able to tell the difference between something vividly imagined and something which is real, the fear can be there within us all of the time. And it is no exaggeration to say that all of us are filled with fear. I would estimate that if even one thousandth part of the fear the average person has within was to surface, the shock would be terminal. The pain would kill us.

Most of our fears are based on faulty imaginings.

So, what sort of fears are these imaginary ones? In all probability they are fears that have little basis in reality; fears that have been incurred by our own unthinking, unconsidered thoughts to circumstances which went unexamined for their authenticity years, perhaps decades earlier in our lives. Fear of not being loved, not being attended to, not being acknowledged. Then there are the imaginary fears caused by phobias, not to mention the imaginary fights, arguments which sometimes go on for days in the mind after an stimulus or triggering event which might have only taken seconds, such as a look of contempt or an intentionally emotion-provoking finger sign by a passing motorist.

Emotions don’t “just go away.” They stay in our mind-bodies.

Even such things as these are registered as anger. The emotions aroused don’t just go away. They seep down into our unconscious and are registered there, where they continue to thrive, grow, multiply.

But let us exam these fears a bit further.

When we become upset or unhappy about anything it stems from one or another – or perhaps a continuation of – these three things:

1. Fear of not being able to get what one wants.

2. Fear of not being able to keep, hold on to, what one has, i.e. fear of loss.

3. Fear of getting something one does not want.

To put it another way: thwarted desire and being imposed upon. Being imposed upon might sound like a euphemism. Being raped is being imposed upon here. Having someone throw a spear at you, or burn your home down. Something you don’t want to happen happening. These few things: wanting, clinging, aversion, make up the abstraction of all our fears. The rest is detail. These form the matrix.

Craving, clinging, and aversion are ego-generated.

Let’s take a brief look at some of the things which can cause us upset because of fears held deep within us: Losing, or imagining losing, material possessions, losing our looks, our health, our self-esteem, our sexual prowess. Not getting: the job we want, the girl we want, the prestige we want, even the attention we want. For some, even negative attention is better than no attention at all, hence graffiti on the side of railway carriages along with a tag. Many a teenage rebel simply wants to be acknowledged. The suffering is there in all these things. It might not be obvious to us. Even grumbling about the state of the nation, about politics, about the boss or the behavior of certain trade union officials, is a sign of not being content with the way things are and of….wanting…wanting things to be different. And from whence comes all this wanting: fear. A very subtle, almost indiscernible fear of not getting what one wants because the world is the way it is.

We aren’t generally aware of our being in virtually perpetual fear.

We aren’t generally aware of our being in virtually perpetual fear – albeit below our conscious level of awareness – for so much of our lives. We take it as being quite normal. Criticism of a third party to a friend to make us feel superior, because we fear, ever so subtlety, that we need to build ourselves up in the eyes of our friend; win their approval. The ego-self is forever building itself up, in all manner of ways, because it realizes that deep down the whole idea of it being anything at all is built on a lie – the house built on sand knows that it can only survive by being active. That is one reason the ego hates silence and stillness so.

How’s your ego? Do you always put the radio on when alone in the house? Always need distraction? Can you sit still and just be? But I digress…

How do we get to this state where we feel we are loved?

So how do we get to this state where we feel we are loved? How do we get to the stage where we can love. We want both input and outgo. But we can only give what we’ve got. If we aren’t love then we cannot love. If love is not of us, how can we radiate it?

Fortunately we have love permeating our bodies, and minds all the time, whether we’re aware of it or not. Even the most selfish, self-centered socio-path is not completely without some sort of love within him or her, though their ego might be so ‘concretized’ (for want of a better word) that it is all but solid right throughout. Kindness, considerateness, empathy, these come from the love which IS US. Yes, is us! The essence of humans is love. The rest is what we have taken upon ourselves- created. Like static electricity, we have drawn to ourselves that which is needed to experience ourselves as living beings in a physical world, and that which is needed to interpret that world; our physical bodies, and our intellect operating through senses and a brain.

God is love, it is said. I say that you, at your essence, are love. So what does that make you?

Belief won’t bring you this realization. “God is Love” it is said. I say that you are God, or at least a tiny spark of God, and that you and I are made of the same indefinable substance that cannot be described, only experienced. You are that. We are that. We are That which cannot be described – only felt…and known…

Enjoy a tranquil mind and look around you…

Many people have made an interesting choice in their life and some may have not made the same choice, but do not have proper access to learning material, so as to improve.

Is it “chosen” ignorance or a lack of knowledge, that which plagues humanity? Well, to be honest, it’s a little bit of both actually. Some “choose” to be ignorant in their actions and some just lack the knowledge to enable themselves more power. Both are hurting themselves, but the one who chooses ignorance is actually damaging themselves more than those who are without knowledge.

Choose to be ignorant? Or Lack of Knowledge?

Choosing to be ignorant, simply means that you stop yourself from learning and nothing more. You have already made up your mind, reinforced with your faith and belief, so as to ignore new knowledge from being learned. This only happens when one has no control of ego or do not realize their ego is more than they can handle.

It is really sad, when someone decides to choose ignorance over learning, because they believe they already have the knowledge they need for their entire life. This is false, foolish and human nature misunderstood by them.

Choose to be ignorant is bad…

How would you like to be “X”ed out, because you choose to be ignorant? Would you like your life to end abruptly, because you choose to not learn anymore? Would you like for your family to struggle, having to deal with your ineptitude?

Who knows? Your ego right this second is pounding to the front of your brain and calling me all sorts of names. That is, if you did not agree with what was said. You probably are contemplating leaving a nasty comment, and you haven’t even finished reading this article.

Please, do STOP and THINK about that just for a few seconds. Have you been told something, that you learned to be not true? It slams into your ego, like a freight train rams into a parked car on the tracks waiting to get slammed. All of sudden, something you have learned about is no longer true and you have to accept it. You must bend with change, otherwise you are left out in the cold to suffer, while people pity you.

They make decisions or choices, solely based on old knowledge and past experiences, without imagination or fore-sight. Their individual limited scope for awareness is limited by their own ego, yet do not see it for what it is truly. A problem!

Lack of knowledge…

There are more people choosing to be ignorant than there are who have no access to knowledge. Many people pick up a lot of knowledge from the streets of the cities and the people who live out there.

More and more kids are learning more dangerous things on the streets, when they should be home safely and learning moral values, which have been on a spiraling decline over the years. The question remains, if the problem is a lack of knowledge, then what has prevented them from receiving the proper knowledge?

Well, I am of the understanding that many people seem to be confused about “Life” in general. They lack what appears to be common knowledge to most, but isn’t to them. Many attribute the downfall humanity is about to experience, from greed of others and manipulations of factual truth.

Lacking of knowledge leads to choosing ignorance…

Constantly, people tell me it is impossible to figure out life. The concept itself has bugged or nagged scientists and religious scholars for centuries. But, the concept of life is more than just a concept. It is a living and breathing human being, who has a conscience, a subconsciousness and a consciousness.

Thus, they realize and understanding that they are living life. They know they are in existence and wonder why? Many look for a meaning for their life, yet more and more die without one. Many look to God for guidance or purpose, but that points to them not understanding, yet they do not realize it.

The simple facts of life really boil down to only a few basic human characteristics that must be keep in check at all times. Your actions, should be honest and not harmful to anyone. You should remain responsible about being honest with yourself and others. You should know that you are connected in life to those who are living around you. You are connected, because you are around them and your actions affect/effect them, as well their actions have an impact on your life.

Chosen Ignorance negates learning…

The beauty of life is that we can control what we do. We can, on an individual basis, prevent other people from manipulating others by standing by the person who is being manipulated. We can show them the truth and let them decide from themselves.

It requires a person to always keep an open mind, to the possibilities, that there are factors that they are not aware of or do not see. Many people think “choice” is an illusion, as is “control”. What many people fail to realize is that there is nothing stronger than the human will or it’s mind.

When someone sets out to accomplish a task, their individual focus is streamlined, so as to consciously develop the integrated skills to get the task done. It is amazing the power of the will and mind, combined makes. There can never be someone or something else to guide your life, because it or they cannot do the thinking for you, nor can they take the steps you need to take to do whatever is that you think to do.

Chosen ignorance leads to dishonesty…

At what point do you realize that you are in control of your mind and your actions? When do you realize your life IS yours to do with as you choose? How much are you willing to let slip by you because of your ego? Do know Who ends up getting hurt because you are unable?

Can you grasp a worldview? Many people cannot, because they themselves rather not address other problems than what they already have on their plate. They choose to be ignorant about the things happening around the globe, because they have grown accustom to Life being cruel, nasty and find most people dishonest(in their view).

Lacking knowledge is ignorant, so each person is ignorant in some way, shape or form, simply because no one can know everything there is to know. However, I would like to point out that there is a limitation to what we(humanity) already knows. Thus, one person could possibly learn everything there is to know presently and still not know everything there is to know.

If you lack knowledge, then seek out to learn more. If you are unaware of certain things, then get informed on those topics. If you are aware of things happening, then become an active part of society and make your voice known. It is important to the survival of humanity that more and more people take an active part in society, the local culture and community. Without unified action on each persons part, there cannot be peaceful existence.

Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality?

When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that’s called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye”, sensing clearly and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feel.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”

On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to “listen” between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is – be it a car’s honk or a bird’s twitting – ushers in an intense feeling.

Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.

With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:

Meditation

Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt, you wouldn’t be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.

Think positive!

A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.

Just let go.

What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go.

Never expect.

After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the “hunch” would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you’d just get surprised that — wham! — now you have your answer.

Believe in your first impressions.

When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.

Stay happy!

See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.

Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.
